Book Haul (#2)

Back so soon with a book haul? Why, yes I am. Although admittedly this was a little messy, because in my other book haul, I had ordered two books from the USA and they took ages to ship, but were delivered without trouble. And now, I ordered four books from the same shop from the USA, and the Tax Agency snatched it, so I had to go and pick it up there today. Luckily though, I didn't have to pay any extra fines or something, they simply opened it to check if it really was books, and then I could go again. Why did I have to go in the first place then, you ask? Well, because they aren't allowed to open my packages without me being there, so... was a bit of a hassle, but whatever. I got them in the end.

Sooo, this is how it looks with all of my purchases:

Now, as I promised, I got close-ups as well this time. :3

First up, these are the books that I was most excited for, and I have basically read all of them already, except for one because I only got that one today:

Uninvited by Sophie Jordan
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
• Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
Cress by Marissa Meyer
• Into The Still Blue by Veronica Rossi

Of all of these, Seraphina is the one I haven't read yet, but I will begin with it shortly.

And now, onto the other hardcovers I bought:

• Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris
• Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris
• Fathomless by Jackson Pearce

I've heard so many great things about Unraveling, and especially about its sequel, so I'm excited to read it. Concerning Fathomless though ... I was most interested in that one, haven't read the other books in Pearce's Fairytale Retellings series. If you know whether or not I have to read those or if they aren't in relation to each other, please, please tell me in the comments below. :) Before I go and spoil myself or anything.

And finally, the paperbacks:

• Eona by Alison Goodman
• Starters by Lissa Price
• Shadows by Paula Weston

I have heard only good things about all of these actually, although I'm still a little skeptical about Shadows. I'm ready to get my mind blown though, and I'm really looking forward to finally being able to marathon Goodman's Eon duology. :)

That's it. Have you read any of the books I hauled? If so, have you liked them, disliked them? I'd love to know. :)

  1. Eeep , I love the Eon duology! I <33 I quite enjoyed Unraveling, but I liked the sequel even more. The ending was just wow. Ignite Me kind of broke my heart. :( Into the Still Blue as amazing! One of my favourite trilogies. :D Cress was awesome, too! Ahh, I just love hardcovers. If only there weren't so pricey!

    1. I'm hoping to love them as well! :D But hey, they're about dragons, so they have to be good, right? Yeah, everyone's saying Unbreakable is so unbelievably good. xD I can't wait to read it myself. :3 It's one of my favorite trilogies as well, these books are just so well written and I loved Into The Still Blue so much, it was a perfect ending. <3 Ignite Me ... I felt a little cheated because so little real action happened, but all in all, I quite liked it, too. :) Cress broke my heart and was amazing at the same time. I know! :/ I don't really like paperbacks because it's much more comfortable reading hardbacks, so I mostly buy them but life would be infinitely easier if I bought more paperbacks...

  2. I read the Unraveling series, and if you're into that sci-fi genre, I think you'll love it. The romance was adorable (in my opinion) and the leading character is strong and smart.
Can't wait to see what you think of Seraphina and Eona. I couldn't finish Eon and never even got around to starting Seraphina.

    1. Alright, I hope I will, I do love sci-fi after all. :) Strong heroine and cute romance is always a plus. Couldn't you finish Eon because you didn't like it or was there another reason? Thanks for your comment! :3
