April Recap

WHAT I READ

Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie
Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge
Miss Mayhem (Rebel Belle, #2) by Rachel Hawkins
To All The Boys I've Loved Before (To All The Boys I've Loved Before, #1) by Jenny Han
Shadow Scale (Seraphina, #2) by Rachel Hartman
The Wondrous and The Wicked (The Dispossessed, #3) by Page Morgan
Sisters' Fate (Cahill Witch Chronicles, #3) by Jessica Spotswood
Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon

8 books in total. However, considering that one was the size of two normal-size books and the other of three normal-size books, technically, if we go by page count, I read about 11 to 12 books this month, which is really not bad! I am very happy about this.

PLAYLIST

1.) CINDERBLOCK GARDEN by ALL TIME LOW
“We don't ever have to leave these walls / I'll be the boy with the silver lining / You'll be the girl with the cinderblock garden. ”
2.) DANCING WITH A WOLF by ALL TIME LOW

3.) OLD SCARS/FUTURE HEARTS by ALL TIME LOW
“I know it's hard to escape the past and start it again / Those memories of all the future hearts you killed / I won't fade away / Be forgotten or just cast away / This life is mine to live.”
4.) THE EDGE OF TONIGHT by ALL TIME LOW
“Spent my whole damn life / Trying to get things right / And for every one of my mistakes / You gave me all these chances.”
5.) KICKING & SCREAMING by ALL TIME LOW
“Say hello to all my little nightmares / They're right here / I know them well / So long and thanks for all the make-believe / The memories of you and me kicking and screaming.”
6.) BAIL ME OUT by ALL TIME LOW (feat. JOEL MADDEN)
“Would you bail me out if I need it? / Help me out, will you catch me when I fall? / Another night I'm out here wasted / Another night you gotta take my call.”
7.) MISSING YOU by ALL TIME LOW
“Now don't lose your fight, kid / It only takes a little push to pull on through / With so much left to do / You'll be missing out / And we'll be missing you.”
8.) BOTTLE AND A BEAT by ALL TIME LOW
“Will you forgive me / Over a whiskey in the rain? / Is there a shelter / From all this pain?”
9.) YOUR BED by ALL TIME LOW
“Who are you now? / Do I wanna know, or am I / Asking for something that I / Know is probably gonna rip me open?”
10.) HOW THE STORY ENDS by ALL TIME LOW
“You say 'Hello, goodbye, this time I'm leaving'  / I say 'Okay, so long, I don't believe this change of plans is how the story ends.'”
11.) FAIRLY LOCAL by TWENTY ONE PILOTS
“I’m evil to the core / What I shouldn't do, I will / They say I’m emotional / What I wanna save, I’ll kill.”

Future Hearts!!! I can't tell you how much I love the album. If you want a detailed recap of my feelings about it, see here. I can tell you this, however. I am aware that I have quoted half the album here. But it's just that, I simply love half the album to shreds. What'cha gonna do.

CINEMATOGRAPHY

I am ashamed to admit that I didn't watch anything this month. Nothing. Not Game of Thrones, not even Germany's Next Topmodel. Yeah....

MAY TBR

• End of Days (Penryn and the End of Days, #3) by Susan Ee
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

So many stuff coming out in May. I hope I can get to them all and read 'em soooooon. In fact, I even already read the second book on that list, and yet I still don't want to put other books on my TBR. I just don't want to settle, I'll just read whatever catches my eye.

  1. Ooh An Ember in the Ashes looks amazing! I've been anticipating it for a while now so I also hope to read it this month. Last month I read Outlander which was amazing!

    1. Ah, sadly, I didn't really enjoy Outlander quite as much as I would have liked. :( I'm still planning to watch the TV show, though, and I'm hoping it might exceed the book in that respect. Have you watched the show yet? An Ember in the Ashes, however, was perfectly fine and I really liked it! :) Hope you will, too.
