November Wrap-Up / December TBR

And another month has gone ... Really, though, this month seemed to just fly by. I remember it like it was yesterday that this time last month, on Halloween, one of my best friends stood at my door and we watched American Horror Story together. Has it really been a whole month since then? Since I have seen him last? That's crazy. Unbelievable. The days did whizz by though, maybe mostly because I have been studying like a maniac and writing exams all the time... The exam craze is going to stop on the 9th of December, though (finally), when I'll be writing my last and most dreaded one — math. Wish me luck, especially since I'm writing on a Monday, during the first two lessons. It's going to be torture... Anyways! My November Wrap-Up and December TBR, right. I'm happy to say I managed to stay true to my TBR list, having read every book that was on it, and even a couple more than that. Seeing as I still hadn't been finished with my TBR by the 20th, I am quite surprised to find that I was able to do such a U-turn in the last week and squeeze in some more books, overall clocking in at 12 books. Not so bad!

So, let's take a look at my November TBR:

— Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (#4) by JK Rowling ✓
— Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (#5) by JK Rowling ✓
— Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (#6) by JK Rowling ✓
— Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (#7) by JK Rowling ✓
The Program by Suzanne Young ✓
The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa ✓
World After by Susan Ee ✓
— The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead ✓

No reviews for the HP books and The Fiery Heart, though, unfortunately. I didn't have enough to say about the latter, and I didn't have the time to really write anything profound about the former, seeing as I simply had to rush on with the series and read the next one because it was so gripping. And after Deathly Hallows, I was in mourning, so no review again. Sorry.

Anyways, in addition to my TBR books, I also read these:

Tithe by Holly Black
Vicious by Victoria Schwab
Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions by various authors
And I re-read The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, also by Holly Black, although I did so roughly (meaning: I skipped the last, like, 40 pages except the ending and I didn't read in full detail, meaning I didn't read with full attention all the time) as well as the novella Brooke by Veronica Rossi.

All in all, like I said, really not bad, considering I didn't have much time theoretically. Of course, other things have taken to the back burner in favor for my reading time, like for example that one friend that I haven't really had a lot of contact with this past month, ahem. I'll have to make amends soon, I guess, but hey, a girl's gotta have her priorities straight, right?

But now, onto my December TBR. Since I'll have holidays again this month, I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep at it, if not even step up my game. Here's what I have planned:

— Control by Lydia Kang (something which I have been lusting after for months and I'm very excited to finally get to read even though it comes out at the end of December and I'll still have to wait long)
— Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead
— All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill
— Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza

Those are the four that I'm really in the mood for, and will probably stay in the mood for during December. However, I do have others that I already bought and will read if I'm feeling like it, but I am not that eager to read right now:

— Champion by Marie Lu
— Icons by Margaret Stohl
— The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson
— Slated by Teri Terry
— Night of Cake & Puppets by Laini Taylor
— The Transfer by Veronica Roth

I'll see, maybe I'll end up reading something completely different in the end. I'll very, very probably read the four on the first list, but I'm really not sure about these, except maybe for Slated and The Transfer. So for now, the first four are my "true" TBR, the one that I will look at to see if I've completed my TBR at the end of the month.

Take care <3
